RISK
FACTORS - There are many risk factors for back pain. The
force of gravity alone has it's affect over time. Pain is
a signal from the body
to the brain indicating undo stress to the body. The mild discomfort
of strain with exercise is good. The body reacts by strengthening
the body. Pain is also a warning
signal and protective mechanism. It is unwise to take pain
medication and then try to work. This could lead to further

Birth defects and genetics can be a risk factor. A small person
should not try to carry the same load as a large person. Poor
nutrition and toxins can cause poor joint health and back pain.
The synovial fluid that is the
body's natural joint lubricant must be a healthy consistency
to limit wear on the joint. The lack of calcium/magnesium
can cause poor muscle health and back pain.
Being overweight is a risk factor, more than 30 lbs. is a contributing

Postural habits can be a risk factor for back pain. Laying in
